| Outside the resort nearby the East Gate is Minehead & the West Somerset Golf Course. Another popular attraction is the West Somerset Steam Railway which runs regularly from Minehead and Bishops Lydeard (20 miles). | |||||||||||

| Opposite the main gate of the Butlins Entertainment's Resort, is Minehead beach. Minehead town is close by about 1/4 mile to the shops. A Tesco Supermarket is about the same distance. Should you want to venture into the Somerset countryside there is Exmoor National Park close at hand, an excellent for a day out, for walking, horse riding or just to view the open country. Maybe explore the Doone Valley, of Lorna Doone fame. Just a little further afield are the Quantock Hills. | |||||||||||
